The Phoenix is a youth arts organisation delivering an outstanding, diverse and inclusive range of programs and services for children and young people aged 5-26. We offer opportuntites to feed the creative spirit, and value artistic expression that is vibrant, daring and inspirational.
Our programmes are delivered by passionate and innovative professionals who are dedicated to providing an inclusive program of excellence in all art forms.
AIMS
The Phoenix is a unique youth arts organisation, which aims to develop and provide appropriate facilities and programs of excellence in all art forms for children and young people, in order to enhance their personal and social development; with particular emphasis upon the inclusion of those facing disadvantage or disaffection.

HISTORY
The Phoenix was established originally as Drama Workshop Youth Theatre in 1994. Over the years it has grown into a registered charitable company to meet the needs of local children and young people. Our history is thus somewhat long, we have moved premises three times, seen children grow into adults, weathered the storms which have faced us.... Whilst our history is important, it is afterall what makes us what we are today, our sights are on the future.
